Sunday was an important day for NASCAR's Busch brothers.
Not only did younger brother Kyle score his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win of the season at Sonoma Raceway, marking the completion of his comeback from injuries that sidelined him earlier this year, but older brother Kurt finished second, giving the brothers their first 1-2 finish in series history.
Kyle Busch muscled his way past Jimmie Johnson with four laps remaining in the Toyota/Savemart 350, and went on to score his second career victory on the 1.99 mile, 11 turn road course. The win marked the younger Busch's 30th career Sprint Cup Series win.
After the victory, Kyle Busch talked about the race and about beating his brother. We also heard from his car owner, Joe Gibbs about his team's win.
We also heard from second place finisher Kurt Busch, along with Clint Bowyer, whose third place finish gave him his first top five of the season.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series head back to the high banks of Daytona International Speedway for Independence Day weekend action. WDUN will have live coverage of the complete NASCAR race weekend.
