Buford lawmaker to chair House Study Committee on Welfare Fraud

ATLANTA — Speaker of the House David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) has appointed the following members to the House Study Committee on Welfare Fraud:

• Rep. David Clark (R-Buford), Chairman
• Rep. Mandi Ballinger (R-Canton)
• Rep. Timothy Barr (R-Lawrenceville)
• Rep. Dominic LaRiccia (R-Douglas)
• Rep. Erica Thomas (D-Austell)

This committee will study eligibility reforms to prevent fraud in public welfare programs such as food stamps (SNAP) and PeachCare.
