By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio

CLEVELAND - An integral part of the White County Chamber of Commerce operation, Vicky Frankum, has announced her resignation.

Frankum, who serves as the manager of community development, says she has accepted a position at North Georgia Technical College, in the Economic Development Department. Chamber President Cindy Bailey announced the departure in an email Wednesday morning.

"I am very proud for her but at the same time very sad to see her go," the email states. "She has truly been an incredible asset to the chamber and the community. The good news is that she is hopeful in being able to continue her involvement with the chamber as a volunteer through her position at North Georgia Technical College.”

Frankum played a key role in chamber operation during the transition of several chamber presidents in the past.

In her resignation letter, Frankum states, “I have put my heart and soul into the position, and put forth my best efforts over the past 16 years because of my love for my community and chamber.”

Frankum’s last day on the job will be July 24.
