By B.J. Williams

GAINESVILLE — A Commerce man, who worked for more than a decade for Hall County Fire Services, has been jailed without bond on charges of child molestation and aggravated sexual battery.

Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators said in a statement Christopher Paul Vickery, 42, "did immoral and indecent acts to a female under the age of 10...to arouse his sexual desires."

The alleged molestation took place over a period of several years.

The case first came to light in 2009, but Vickery was not arrested until Tuesday, July 7.

Vickery was a former employee of Hall County Fire Services, according to the county human resources office. He worked for HCFS from August of 1996 to August 2007.

Investigators believe that there may be more victims, and they are encouraging those victims to contact the Hall County Sheriff’s Office with any information at 770-297-5525.
