GAINESVILLE — No students were injured, but one person in a passenger vehicle was taken to the hospital after a collision Monday morning between a Hall County school bus and a car.

School System spokesman Gordon Higgins said the crash happened around 8:15 a.m.

"Bus #2912 driven by Lisa Gailey was transporting students to East Hall Middle when the bus impacted with a vehicle right there in front of the school," said Higgins.

He said all of the students were okay - as were the drivers of both vehicles - but a passenger in the vehicle was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Higgins said he could not provide other details on how the accident occurred; the investigation will be handled by the Georgia State Patrol.

He said the middle school students were able to exit the bus and go right to school. Another bus went to East Hall Middle to transport  some East Hall High School students who were on board to their school.
