CLEVELAND - White County property owners started receiving their 2015 tax notices over the weekend.
The county tax commissioner's office got those notices out to property owners of record and the assessed amount is due no later than Nov. 15.
Those who own property in the county and fail to receive their tax statement in the next couple of days are reminded it is their responsibility to notify the county, especially if there was a change of address in the past year.
Even though the tax millage rate charged by the county and board of education did not increase this year, some property values did increase resulting in tax bill being higher than last year.
