The same woman who robbed the Zales Jewelry store in Dawsonville early last month may be tied to two other jewelry store robberies in the southeast, according to a report from CNN.com.
The news network is reporting that the FBI is now involved in the investigation.
The Dawsonville robbery occurred on August 5 at the Zales store located at North Georgia Premium Outlets on Georgia 400. In that incident, the woman brandished a gun at two store employees just after they opened the store. She zip-tied the two employees and then stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry before she fled the scene.
The CNN report said a store in Panama City Beach, Florida was robbed a week after that. The suspect fit the description of the suspect in the Georgia robbery. Police said she escaped with $400,000 worth of merchandise in that incident.
She's also the suspect in the robbery of a jewelry store in Bluffton, S.C. last week, according to the CNN report.
