ATLANTA (AP) The largest naturalization ceremony of the year is set for Turner Field.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will hold the event Sept. 17 to honor Citizenship Day. Officials say 500 candidates from 91 countries will become U.S. citizens.
The candidates from countries including Afghanistan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Vietnam and Zimbabwe, to list just a handful. Braves Bullpen Coach Eddie Perez, a naturalized citizen, will lead the group its Pledge of Allegiance.
