White County man burned in fall into fire pit

ROBERTSTOWN - A 42-year-old White County man was burned when he fell into a fire pit Tuesday night.
 
White County Public Safety spokeswoman Ana Newberry said that around 7:30 p.m. fire and EMS personnel were dispatched to a residence on Alternate 75 near Scorpion Hollow regarding a burn victim.  
 
Newberry said an  AirLife helicopter also was called to transport the victim to the hospital.   
 
Upon arrival of emergency personnel, the patient was evaluated and the helicopter was canceled. 
 
Newberry said the man, who was not identified,  had fallen into a fire pit and suffered non-life-threatening burns.  
 
He  was transported by White County EMS ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
