White County bicyclist hit by a car

CLEVELAND - A female bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in White County.
 
Sheriff Neal Walden confirmed the accident, saying preliminary details are that a male driver was traveling south on Georgia 75 Alternate near Loudsville United Methodist Church when the collision occurred around 10:15 a.m.
 
Walden said the driver attempted to turn left onto John Head Road and struck a female riding a bicycle.   
 
According to Walden, the female suffered a cut on her leg and other injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  
 
The accident remains under investigation by the White County Sheriff's Office, and no further details are immediately available.
