By Associated Press

BREMEN, Ga. (AP) Two teenage girls have been killed in a highway crash involving a Georgia State Patrol car.

Authorities say the State Patrol Dodge Charger and a Nissan Sentra carrying the teenagers collided around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in Carroll County.

The two girls who died, who were passengers in the Nissan, were identified as 17-year-old Kylie Hope Lindsey; and 16-year-old Isabella Alise Chinchilla.

State Patrol Capt. Mark Perry said two teenage boys in the Nissan were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Perry tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1GbLeJr) that Trooper Anthony J. Scott was on patrol but not answering any emergency calls at the time. Authorities say he was treated at a Carrollton hospital and later released.

The collision remained under investigation. Perry said preliminary findings show the Nissan turned into the path of the patrol car.
