Gwinnett County police are investigating after a man was shot and then fell from a balcony at a New Year's Eve party in Lawrenceville.
The incident happened at the Lake Sweetwater Apartments, according to authorities.
According to a press statement, police arrived at the scene at 1:43 a.m. Friday and found a 23-year-old man lying unconscious on the ground. Witnesses told police the victim was shot while attending a party. They said he then fell about 10 to 15 feet from a balcony at the apartment complex. The victim is currently hospitalized in stable condition, according to authorities.
At this point, there are no suspects in the shooting.
