Authorities: Son stabbed mother to death in Cherokee County

WOODSTOCK, Ga. (AP) Authorities say a woman has been stabbed to death by her son in Cherokee County.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Lt. Jay Baker tells local media outlets that 21-year-old Michael Jacobs confessed to killing his mother on Sunday, near Woodstock.

Police say the stabbing occurred as a result of a domestic dispute. It is unclear what prompted the argument.

Jacobs is being charged with felony murder in the stabbing. He is being held without bond.
