Two people are reported dead following a crash in Gwinnett County Thursday night that apparently was the result of a vehicle pursuit by the John's Creek Police Department.
Gwinnett officers said the suspect vehicle was traveling southbound on Peachtree Parkway and refused to stop for the John's Creek officers. The suspect vehicle hit another car at the intersection of Jay Bird Alley, and the two people in that car were killed.
The driver of the suspect vehicle faces DUI, drug charges and vehicular homicide charges in Gwinnett County. The passenger in the suspect vehicle also faces criminal charges. John's Creek police also will be filing charges in connection with the pursuit.
