Gov. Nathan Deal has appointed two Buford men to separate state boards.
Andrew Pace was reappointed to the Georgia State Boardof Archetects and Interior Designers.
Pace is the senior vice president of Strand Hospitality Services, a hotel management and development firm. He sits on the advisory board of the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality at Georgia State University and is a trustee of the Georgia State University Foundation board. Pace earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Mercer University.
Isaiah Hill has been named to the Professional Standards Commission.
Hill is a chemistry instructor and co-chair of the Science Community at Greater Atlanta Christian School. He previously taught at Dutchtown High School and Georgia Perimeter College. Hill also worked as a research scientist for 3M and Georgia Pacific. He earned a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University and a doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from Georgia Tech.
