Grace N. Hewell, a well-known Gillsville folk potter and member of the Hewell's Pottery family, has died.
Hewell, 83, passed away Thursday following a battle with ovarian cancer.
Hewell worked at the family business alongside her husband, Harold Hewell, until she was unable to do so.
Hewell, known as "Granny" by family and employees, has work displayed in several museums across the country.
The funeral for Grace Hewell is at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, at Gillsville Baptist Church.
