Gainesville-based Metro Appraisals announces that David B. Griffin, MAI has been named President after a corporate restructuring.
Griffin, 33, is an eleven-year veteran of Metro Appraisals and since 2013 served as Chief Operating Officer. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, a MAI Designated member of the Appraisal Institute, and a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina.
“With a decade of committed service, David has built an impressive track record of strategic, operational, and personal accomplishments all contributing to the enhancement of our company,” said Robert Jaeger, who served as company president for 28 years. “He has proven to be a strong and trusted leader and brings to this position a valuable skillset for inspiring and developing people. I could not be more confident in his appointment to this critical position of influence.”

Concurrent to Griffin’s appointment, Metro Appraisals announced the promotion of Cliff M. Ward, MAI as Vice President. Ward has a Business Administration degree from the University of North Georgia, a Management degree from Georgia Southern University, and is pursuing additional education in Accounting through the University of North Georgia. A veteran commercial real estate appraiser, Ward has been with Metro Appraisals since 2003.
Jaeger, the founder of Metro Appraisal, is moving into a new role as President Emeritus, and will serve as a sounding board and consultant. “I am excited to have the opportunity to travel more but still maintain relationships with the appraisers at Metro Appraisals in a way that supports the success of the business.”
