Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway had a little of everything, from rain to 45 mph winds to sand storms.
But in the end, it came down to a late race pass to decide it all, as Brad Keselowski powered around hometown hero Kyle Busch with five laps to go, then went on to score the win.
Keselowski had to come back from a pit road speeding penalty to use a late race strategy of staying out on older tires to put himself in position to win. It snaps a 33-race drought, and gives Keselowski his 18th career Sprint Cup Series win. Joey Logano finished in second, with Jimmie Johnson in third, Kyle Busch in fourth and Austin Dillon in fifth.
Keselowski talked about the victory afterwards. We also heard from winning crew chief Paul Wolfe, second place finisher Joey Logano and highest finishing Rookie of the Year candidate Ryan Blaney, who finished in sixth.
