A woman was found dead at the base of Yonah Mountain in White County Monday night, according to the local sheriff's office.
At this point, investigators are not releasing many details, saying only that they received a call from hikers around 8:45 p.m. about the body.
Sheriff's Capt. Tim Chapman issued a statement Tuesday, saying it appears at this point the woman fell to her death.
The White County deputy coroner said there was some identification near the body, but the woman's name has not yet been released.
