Four of the five men running for the congressional seat now held by Doug Collins of Gainesville are expected at a special meeting of the South Hall Republican Club Monday.
The club in an emailed press release says Paul Broun, Roger Fitzpatrick, Bernie Fontaine and Mike Scupin plan to attend the meeting, which will be held at 6:30 at Cherokee Bluffs Park.
According to the press release, "Congressman Collins could not make this meeting as Congress is in session and he will be in Washington."
Collins and the other four candidates squared off earlier this month at a meeting of the Conservative Forum in Gainesville, sponsored by the Hall County Republican Party. (Click here for that story.)
