Humane Society of Northeast Georgia kicks off summer camps next week

By AccessWDUN Staff

The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia is ready to kick off another summer of Pet P.A.L.S. Summer Camp, starting with the first session on Monday, June 13.

P.A.L.S. camp is for kids who love helping animals. Campers will enjoy the dog days of summer with animal buddies, fun games and investigative activities at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia in Gainesville.

There are four sessions - two in June and two in July. Camps are separated into sessions for younger and older campers.

Camp organizers say the children will  train dogs, socialize cats, listen to exciting guest speakers and learn about what it takes to help “Prepare Animals for Love and Shelter” while working behind the scenes at the Humane Society.

Camp dates for 2016 are:

  • June 13 – 17 (ages 7-9)
  • June 20 – 24 (ages 10-12)
  • July 11-15 (ages 7-9)
  • July 18-22 (ages 10-12)

Camp is in session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. To register, go to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia website
