By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio

CLEVELAND — The White County Sheriff's Office has made three additional arrests in connection with the murder of Savon Williams, 21, of White County earlier this month.

The incident occurred July 1 in the basement of a home at 50 Eagle Ridge Trail in Cleveland.

White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said Tuesday the shooter in the incident, Christopher  Courville, 17, of Cleveland, initially charged with murder, now also has been charged with theft by receiving, false statement and Georgia Gang Statute (being a member of a gang).

Arrested Monday, according to Ingram, was Chase Wilson, 19, of Cleveland, who is charged with entering an auto and Georgia Gang Statute.

Conner Daniel, 18, of Cleveland, also was arrested Monday and charged with entering an auto , tampering with evidence, concealing a death, providing a false statement and Georgia Gang Statute. Ingram said Daniel was the one who called 9-1-1  reporting the incident as a suicide.

Additionally, a 16-year-old juvenile was taken into custody Monday, but will not be identified because of his age, Ingram said, adding he was charged with entering an auto and Georgia Gang Statute.

Ingram identified all the suspects as being members of the gang BTA, Bout That Action.

According to Ingram, the gun used in this homicide was stolen from an automobile in White County a couple of  days before the shooting.

Ingram said investigators have been working diligently since July 1, with the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and they feel they have determined all the involvement and have a reasonable reconstruction of the events leading up to the event.

When asked if they feel the shooting was gang-related, Ingram said, "We don't think so. We attribute it to clearly people just being reckless."

The case is still open and Ingram said they will pursue any additional information they receive.
