When a local hotel accounting software developer acquired a surplus of tablet devices purchased to integrate with its time and attendance tool, it quickly found a way to put them to good use.

Working with academy founder and director Ava White of Ava White Academy, a team from Gainesville-based M3 Accounting + Analytics delivered 100 new Samsung tablets to the school for children with learning disabilities. The tablets will be used for student research and assignments, as well as research and keyboarding activities, according to a company press release.

M3 is no stranger in the community for providing service and financial support to organizations in need, including Georgia AGAPE, the Greater Hall Chamber Foundation and American Cancer Society. Company president and partner Allen Read is active in several community organizations, including Boys & Girls Club of Hall County, Special Olympics of Georgia and Flowery Branch High School Governance Board.

“It’s important to me to ensure that we’re collectively as a community raising a generation of young people who are prepared and equipped to be successful adults,” explained Read. “The Ava White Academy is making a difference in the lives of so many children in Gainesville, and M3 is honored to help continue this mission.”

M3 employs more than 130 area professionals with accounting and technology expertise to develop an industry standard hotel accounting software for over 4,300 hotels in the United States. The company was founded by Gainesville native and hotelier John McKibbon, III, and was the first to connect the internet and hotel accounting software nearly two decades ago.
