Police: Girl who went missing from Hall County last summer is missing again

By AccessWDUN staff

A girl from Hall County who went missing for a week with her father last summer is missing once again, this time from Georgia Department of Family and Children Services supervision.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety posted an alert on its Facebook Page, saying Brooklyn Smith and another girl, identified as Desire Hall, left a business by the name of Main Event in Alpharetta on Sunday night.

"We believe Brooklyn contacted her father to pick both of them up. The father is Steven Spires. There is an existing court order involving the father and daughter, which prohibits any contact between the father and daughter," the social media post states.

Spires and his girlfriend were arrested in August after a standoff at a hotel in McDonough. Smith, who was 12 at the time, had been traveling with the pair.

Smith is described as 4' 11" to 5' 00" in height, weight 100 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a camouflaged Jacket and pants with a Florida Georgia band tee shirt and brown cowboy boots.

Hall is described as 4' 11", weight 115 lbs., with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark gray sweater, black leggings and black flat sneakers.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is asking the public to help locate the two girls. The tipline number is 678-297-6307.
