Plans are in the works for an 11,000-square-foot addition to the Hall County Division of Family and Children Services office on McEver Road.
According to a filing with the city of Gainesville, "The applicant (McEver Extension Properties, LLC) is proposing to amend a zoning condition to allow for a larger building within the existing Planned Unit Development (P-U-D) zoning. The proposal is to renovate and expand the existing Hall County Department of Family and Children Services office building from 25,000 square feet to 36,245 square feet."
The application states that the expansion will occur in the existing parking lot.
The office is just south of the McEver Road-Dawsonville Highway intersection.
The Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board is scheduled to consider the request Dec. 12.
