The Gainesville Police Department will host the 15th annual “Shop with a Gainesville Cop” Friday at WalMart on Shallowford Road.
Officers have already accepted applications and picked 25 families in need and will be giving gifts to children who would not ordinarily be receiving much if anything this year.
According to a news release from the police department, a substantial cash donation from Pilgrim’s Pride to make this year's event possible.
