CLEVELAND — A White County man is expected to recover after being shot during an apparent robbery attempt Monday night.
White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said Tuesday morning the incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Gardens and Farm on Ga. 254 in the southern part of the county.

Motes was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment and, according to Ingram, is expected to recover.
The gunman fled the scene and law enforcement personnel continue to search for him.
The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a hoodie at the time of the incident and has a tattoo on the left side of his face.
A search of the area was conducted by the White County Sheriff’s ,with the assistance from the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, Lee Arrendale State Prison K-9 Unit, and the Georgia State Patrol, but the suspect was not located..
