Three people, including a baby, were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friendship Road in South Hall County Tuesday afternoon.

The Georgia State Patrol said in a press statement the fatal accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. about 50 feet west of Jones Drive.

Investigating troopers said Hannah Simmons, 23, of Gainesville was driving a Subaru Legacy west on Friendship Road in the right lane.

"The driver of Vehicle 1 [Simmons] lost control of the steering causing the vehicle to strike a concrete curb along the right side of SR-347," the report said. "Vehicle 1 then traveled over the center concrete median while rotating counter clockwise."

At that point, Simmons vehicle drove into the path of a Ford F-350 pickup truck.

Simmons and a front-seat passenger, 28-year-old Lauren Buteau of Gainesville, died at the scene.

Simmons' infant daughter A’lannah Hopkins,  who was in the back seat of the car, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, but died there from her injuries.

There was no information on injuries to the driver of the pickup truck.
