An Alpharetta golfer made a hole-in-one this past fall in the Hit 'Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament, and this week he was presented with his winnings by Hardy Chevrolet of Gainesville.
Aptly named Jeff Holmen, representing ADP, hit the magical drive that went straight in the cup.
“It was amazing,” said Holmen. “I saw everyone jumping up and down and knew I hit it in!”
The hole-in-one challenge, sponsored by Hardy Chevrolet of Gainesville, offered a new 2017 Chevy Tahoe, named highest-ranked large SUV in 2016 by J.D. Power, to anyone who made the hole-in-one.
Wayne Alexander, spokesman for Hardy Chevrolet and longtime supporter of the tournament, presented Holmen with a check for the cash value of the vehicle ($52,000) on Monday, April 24.
"In more than 30 years, no one has ever won the hole-in-one challenge. It’s a big deal!” said Alexander, “We are honored to support such a worthy cause.”
Proceeds from the Hit ’Em for Hemophilia Golf Tournament go to Hemophilia of Georgia research for a cure. The tournament will celebrate its 35th year in 2017 and has raised millions of dollars for research to date. This year's tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24. Registration details will be released soon.
