Man who allegedly killed wife in Lawrenceville home also charged with shooting at married couple, child

A Lawrenceville man who is charged with shooting and killing his wife and then trying to kill himself on Monday, also opened fire on a family staying at the home, according to investigators. 
 
Gwinnett County Police said Tuesday that the married couple and their young son were not injured in the Monday morning incident on Bridge Walk Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. 
 
Police have secured five warrants for 53-year-old Alton Kelly, one for felony murder and four for aggravated assault.
 
Kelly remains hospitalized at Gwinnett Medical Center in stable but critical condition. Police said once he is discharged, he will be transported to the Gwinnett County Jail.
 
Melissa Kelly, 45, was identified as the deceased victim in the crime. The married couple and child were not named by the police; they say they were extended family members.
