A corner lot at one of the busiest intersections in Gainesville, which has been on the market for some time, has been sold to Gainesville businessman Milton Robson.
Brent Hoffman with Berkshire Hathaway Georgia Properties represented all parties in the transaction and confirmed the sale Friday afternoon. The property is at Jesse Jewell Parkway and Queen City Parkway.
"We had two families selling a lot each comprising .73 acres," Hoffman said in an email. "The corner lot was owned by a local family for over 100 years and contained (an) old house. There were also two billboards on the properties."
He went on to say that Robson's plans are to grade the property and make it available to add to the other tracts he owns around the site, which Hoffman described as "a very key corner with a tremendous traffic count."
Hoffman said the house will be "taken down shortly by a wood recycling company for further use."
