Greater Hall Chamber launches Healthy Hall Awards Program

With the health care world continuing to expand in Gainesville and Hall County, the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will officially recognize those efforts next month.  
 
The chamber has launched the Healthy Hall Awards of Excellence Program to spotlight local individuals who have a made noteworthy contributions to the industry.
 
"We've been talking about this for two or three years.  Several months ago our health care committee, which is one of the most active committees that the chamber, has decided, 'ok, let's do it,'" Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Kit Dunlap said.
 
Awards will be presented in 14 categories, ranging from Outstanding Allied Health Professional to Primary Care Physician of the Year.
 
"You know part of our Vision 2030 initiative is to have the healthiest community in Georgia," Dunlap said.
 
In addition to the awards presentation at a luncheon on Wednesday, February 28, Louis G. Smith, Jr., president and CEO of Northeast Georgia Medical Center will deliver a keynote address.
 
The chamber will host the 11:30 a.m. event at the Brenau Downtown Center in Gainesville.  Reservations are $20 person and $300 for an eight seat table.  The event is open to the public.
