More than two years after starting the process of achieving home ownership through Habitat for Humanity, seven members of a Hall County family are in their new home.
Ester and Tonga have been working off their "sweat equity" hours, including 260 hours each, building on their neighbors’ homes, working in the Habitat ReStore, and taking financial education classes.
“Dreams come true. Prayers, perseverance, for a home and a brand new life...now it is happening in Copper Glen!," Esther said. "To God be the Glory! Thanks again to all for helping us build this dream, a wonderful home, may God bless you.”
The Mbota family's new home is in Habitat of Hall County's Copper Glen subdivision and is the agency's 62nd home.
This home was made possible by the generous support of the Garland Family, Wells Fargo, The Jackson EMC Foundation, First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Hometown Heating & Air, Roofing Resources of Georgia, The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, and generous community partners., according to a Habitat press release.
