Carl Cleveland has become a beast in Region 8-2A. OK, maybe a Leopard on the hunt.
Regardless of the animal, the junior post dominated the paint, scoring 45 points and ripping down 18 rebounds in Banks County's 83-78 road win against Stephens County.
Cleveland's 45 points pushed his career total over 1,000 points.
Cleveland, who led the team in scoring as a sophomore, averaging 20.5 ppg has picked up where he left off in 2017.
The 6-foot-5 junior remains a steady force in the paint for the Leopards and is the reason why he's been named this week’s Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.
We had a chance to catch up with Carl and Banks coach Mike Cleveland to talk about Carl’s performance, the team’s play so far and what’s ahead for the Leopards.
