Gainesville High School's Pam Ware has been selected the 2019 Girl Scout Woman of Distinction by Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
The award honors a woman who reflects the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serves as an excellent role model for girls.
Ware is a teacher and director of theatre at Gainesville High, and also the namesake of the Pam Ware Performing Arts Center at the school. Her contributions to the community, dedication to the arts and her passion for serving as a role model make her an ideal recipient for this honor, according to a news release from Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
Ware will be honored during a luncheon March 12, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Chattahoochee Country Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. Individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available. Questions about this annual event may be directed to LaDon Shaw, Senior Director for Business Operations, in the Gainesville office at 470-208-3666.
