First, it was Denny's, now another Gainesville eatery on Browns Bridge Road has closed.
Would-be customers arriving at Applebee's are being greeted by a sign announcing the closing and directing them to the Applebee's in Dawsonville.
A few weeks ago, Denny's, located just a few doors from Applebee's, was shuttered. It was located in a building that has housed a number of restaurants over the years.
Applebee's had been a longtime fixture on a stretch of Browns Bridge Road that includes O'Charley's, LongHorn Steakhouse, and Red Lobster.
