A new study shows people who commute to work in metro Atlanta spend $182,886 and drive about 288,000 miles during the course of their career.
Researchers at EducatedDriver.org say that's 484 days in your car and the highest cost of commuting in the nation.
The average American only spends about $108,727 and drives 173,203 miles, still enough to drive around the world 7 times.
The cities of Dallas and Houston tied for second place with $174,314 and 274, 500 miles, according to the AJC.
