Boys basketball: East Hall holds off Bluff; Jefferson, WHall win

FLOWERY BRANCH – It was a tight Region 7-3A fight between East Hall and Cherokee Bluff Tuesday night.

Kylan Currie scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half to lift East Hall over the Bears 76-64. 

Griffin Neville led the Bears with 15 points.

The battle was back-and-forth all night with East Hall taking the lead 20-18 after the first and 42-38 at halftime.

The second half was much of the same. The Vikings pulled ahead 56-52 by the end of the third. East Hall outpaced the Bears by 12 points in the fourth to seal the win.

Jayvion Rucker chipped in 18 points for the Vikings.

Palmer Weaver and Bosko Norman scored 13 each for the Bears. Devan Waner had 10.

The Vikings (6-3, 3-0) will host Fannin County Dec. 18. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Cherokee Bluff (4-3, 1-2) will travel to Fannin County Friday. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

 

JEFFERSON 60
FRANKLIN COUNTY 53

Donsha Gaither scored 16 points in the win over Franklin County Tuesday night on the road. 

Owen Parker and Jacob Radaker had 11 points each.

The Dragons (5-3, 2-0) will travel to Morgan County Friday night. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

 

MORGAN COUNTY 66
EAST JACKSON 61

Tay Howard scored 22 points in a loss to Morgan County Tuesday night on the road.

Makayl Rakestraw netted 10 points.

East Jackson (4-4, 0-2) will travel to Hart County Friday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

 

WEST HALL 60
WHITE COUNTY 59

The Spartans pulled out a close one at White County Tuesday night.

Noah Edmondson scored 29 points to lead West Hall, and Sawyer Passmore had 13 points

West Hall (2-5, 1-0) will travel to Chestatee Friday. Tip is 8:30 p.m.

White County (3-7, 0-3) will host Habersham Central Friday. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
