An earthquake centered near Spring City, Tennessee early Wednesday morning was strong enough to rattle some buildings into North Georgia and Metro Atlanta.
The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the 4.4 magnitude quake was recorded just after 4 a.m. and the ripple effects moved across Georgia about 15 to 20 minutes later.
No damage has been reported.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution said Wednesday's earthquake was the strongest felt in Georgia since 1974 when a 4.3 quake was recorded in Lincoln County.
If you felt the impact of the quake, you can go to the U.S. Geological Survey to make a report.
