Braselton: Plans for multi-use development withdrawn

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

Plans for a multi-use development in Braselton, that included more than 200 housing units, have been withdrawn.

The application was to have been heard by the Braselton Mayor and Council at a public hearing on January 10.  But, city officials issued a notice Wednesday saying the request had been withdrawn.

Homecorp had been requesting a rezoning from R-1 (Residential) to PUD (Planned Unit Development).  In addition to 240 multi-family units, the proposal included 49,450 square feet of commercial building space.   The property, 32.5 acres, is owned by Stark Bowen Land LLC and fronts on Lewis Braselton Boulevard and Davis Street.
