A Gainesville church is planning a two-part program tackling the issue of "Parenting in the Digital World" from Facebook to Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and more.
“Technology has the capacity to improve lives in many ways,” says Dr. Bill Coates, senior pastor at First Baptist Church Gainesville. “But society’s reliance on technology and constant desire to have the latest and greatest devices loaded up with the newest and most revolutionary applications is having adverse effects on our culture as a whole, but more specifically, and perhaps more detrimentally, on families.”
The church is inviting parents of preschoolers, children, and youth for panel discussions at 6:00 p.m. on March 11 and March 18 moderated by Hall County Solicitor-General Stephanie Woodard.
