The Georgia State Patrol said Harrold White II, 65, Canon was traveling on I-85 Northbound Tuesday morning and got off at the Martin Bridge Road exit.
They said, while still on the off ramp, White left the edge of the roadway and rear-ended a Freightliner tractor trailer driven by Buffy LaShawn Perez, 49, Carrollton.
A ten year old was also in the cab of the truck, both recieved non-life threatening injuries.
Perez was ticketed for having the truck parked in a no parking zone.
