Two meetings will be held in August to continue the public input process for the review of Forsyth County’s tree ordinance and regulations pertaining to mass grading.
These items, along with an incentive program for low impact stormwater design, were identified as implementation measures in the latest update of the county's Comprehensive Plan.
An Aug. 15 meeting will provide an opportunity and platform for Forsyth County residents and other interested parties to discuss tree preservation requirements and options related to tree save areas and
legacy trees.
A meeting Aug. 22 will focus on the current requirements and best practices of clearing vegetation and moving earth during the development process.
“We had a good turnout at the June 20 kick-off meeting, and appreciated the input we received,” said Deputy Director of Planning and Community Development Vanessa Bernstein-Goldman. “We look forward to continuing the conversation with Forsyth County stakeholders during our August meetings.”
The meetings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Forsyth County Administration Building The meetings are open house format, with an overview presented at 6:30 p.m. during both meetings.
