*Emily Neidle of Clayton, fourth-grade teacher at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, spent a month in Italy this summer as a teaching fellow for the Spoleto Study Abroad Program. The program offers teaching fellowships to four consortium school faculty members who have been teaching in their respective schools for three years or less.
*The Arts Council in Gainesville is closing its 2018 Summer MusicFest with The Swingin' Medallions on Saturday, August 18. *Donnie Bennett has been selected to serve as the 2018 Fundraising/Finance Drive Chairman for the State YMCA of Georgia in Habersham County. The Finance Drive is currently underway to support the State YMCA program in middle and high schools in Georgia through Hi-Y, Tri-Hi-Y, and Co-ed "Y" Clubs.
