The population of Hall County is just under 200,000, according to the latest estimate from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Yearly estimates are released by the Bureau between the official head counts. The last Census was taken in 2010. The next one will be held in 2020.
The Census Bureau estimates that as of July 1, 2017, the population of Hall County was 199,335, up from 196,237 a year earlier, and 10.9 percent more than in 2010, when the Census counted 179,684 people in the county.
All of the 13 counties in the Georgia Mountains Region, which includes Hall, showed an increase in population, according to the estimates. Forsyth County led the way with a 7,900-person difference, placing the July 1, 2017, estimate at 227,967.

Meanwhile, the Census Bureau report shows the nation, as a whole, continues to "grow older" and "more diverse."
