As part of the I-85 Express Lanes Extension Project, the Georgia Department of Transportation plans to close the ramps at Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road for a few night this upcoming week.
Both the northbound and southbound on-ramps at Exit 111 will be closed so workers can install ramp meter technology. Work will start Wednesday, August 22 and continue through Friday, August 24, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
"This means a total closure for traffic at the on and off ramps," said GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland in a press statement. "A detour route will be in place and message boards will be placed to alert traffic prior to this closure."
Strickland said exact dates may change due to weather or other factors.
