Eddie Staub named winner of Leadership Georgia's community service award

Eddie Staub, the founder and executive director of Eagle Ranch in Chestnut Mountain, is the winner of this year's E. DALE THREADGILL Service Award from Leadership Georgia.

It is one of three of the organization's top awards, which will be presented at this year’s annual gala on Nov. 2 in Athens.

Eagle Ranch, which serves children in crisis, is in its 35th year.  Staub is being honored by Leadership Georgia for Eagle Ranch’s "contributions to youth and families throughout Georgia."

Other of this year's award winners are:

The FREDERICK B. KERR Service Award to the Honorable Horace J. Johnson Jr., a superior court judge in Covington. and the J. W. FANNING Award to Julie Ewing Hunt, a Tifton businesswoman.
