Bridge repair project will affect South Hall area roads beginning Thursday

The Thompson Mill Road bridge over I-985 will close to traffic for up to 21 days starting Thursday for repairs to damage that was caused by a vehicle that was too high to pass under it.

The state Department of Transportation says southbound traffic on the Interstate will also be affected. 

Both lanes between State Route 20 and State Route 347 will be closed Friday and Saturday nights.  For the daytime hours, Interstate traffic will be restricted to one lane on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Sunday, Jan. 13  between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

After the initial weekend of work, nightly lane closures for the interstate will be will occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
