A 23-lot subdivision planned in the Murrayville area is getting a recommendation for approval from the Hall County planning staff.
The application from Rochester & Associates, Inc., is to be heard by the county Planning Commission Tuesday after being tabled by the board at its January 7 meeting to give the applicant a chance to meet with opponents of the project. The firm is asking for a Use Subject to County Commission approval on a 26.33-acre tract located at Yellow Creek Road and Barkers Bend Road.
The staff is recommending approval, with conditions, which include a minimum of 1,500 square feet of heated floor space for each house, that no vinyl siding be used, and that all homes be "site-built."
Two items previously scheduled to be heard Monday have been tabled until February at the request of the applicants.
One is from Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. for the rezoning from Heavy Industrial (I-II) and AgriculturalResidential-IV (AR-IV) to Heavy Industrial (I-II) of ten acres near the intersection of Candler Road and Roy Parks Road, where an asphalt manufacturing plant is planned.
The other is from the Gainesville-Hall County Development Authority which is seeking to rezone from Agricultural-Residential-III (ARIII) and Heavy Industrial (I-II) to Heavy Industrial (I-II) 108.37 acres on the north side of Gateway Centre Parkway, at its intersection with White Sulphur Road. That's where the recently-announced state intermodal facility will be located.
