UPDATE: Branch girls blow it open in the second half; Lumpkin's Davenport goes for 30; area teams win

FLOWERY BRANCH – It was close at half time.

The second half was a different story.

Flowery Branch outscored Chestatee 34-18 to blow past the Lady War Eagles 61-38 Tuesday night.

Ashley Woodroffe scored 21 points and Caroline Wysocki had 18 to lead the Lady Falcons

Ashlee Locke scored 10 points and pulled 11 boards.

Maggie McNair hit for 15 and Christina Garcia had 12 points to lead the Lady War Eagles. 

Flowery Branch (17-3, 7-0) will travel to Blessed Trinity Friday. Game time is 6 p.m.

Chestatee (11-10, 5-3) will travel to Marist Friday. Tip is 6 p.m.

 

LUMPKIN COUNTY 67
EAST HALL 41

Isabel Davenport hit six 3-pointers en route to a career-high 30 points in a win over East Hall Tuesday night. 

MacKenzie Pulley added 19 points.

Lumpkin jumped on East Hall early on a 14-0 run in the first.

Lumpkin outscored East Hall 35-24 in the first half and 32-17 in the second. 

Ivey Shadburn scored 13 points and Alexis Burce had 12 in a loss to for East Hall.

East Hall (8-13, 2-6) will host Cherokee Bluff Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.

Lumpkin (15-4, 4-4) will travel to Fannin Friday. Tip is 7 p.m.


NORTH HALL 58
FANNIN COUNTY 44

North Hall got back to its winning ways Tuesday night against Fannin County. 

The win snapped a two-game skid for the Lady Trojans. 

Grace Hollifield led North Hall with 17 points, and Ansleigh Ferguson turned in another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. 

Ansley Smallwood chipped in 11 points. 

North Hall (14-6, 6-2) will host Greater Atlanta Christian Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.

 

RABUN COUNTY 61
OGLETHORPE 14

Hanna Cannon scored 11 points and pulled 5 rebounds to lead Rabun past Oglethorpe Tuesday night. 

Sophie Woodard netted 8 points and grabbed 6 boards.

Rabun (16-1, 7-0) will host Banks County Friday. Game time is 6:30 p.m.


LAKEVIEW 60
PRINCE AVENUE 47

Lakeview won its seventh game in a row Tuesday night on the road against Prince Avenue.

Eliza Snyder scored 19 points to lead the Lady Lions. She also had 5 takeaways and 4 boards.

Jackie Allen had 17 points, Sadie Thrailkill scored 12 points and dished out 7 assists and Jasmine Howard had 5 points. 

Lakeview (16-4, 5-0 region) will host Providence Friday. Game time is 7 p.m. 

 

TOWNS COUNTY 57
HEBRON CHRISTIAN 36

The Towns County Lady Indians improved to 4-0 in Region 8-A with the win over Hebron Tuesday night. 

Kenndi Henson scored 26 points,18 from the 3-point line. 

Sophia Shook chipped in 13 points.

Towns County (10-8, 4-0) will travel to Commerce on Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.


GREATER ATLANTA 53
DAWSON COUNTY 41

The Lady Tigers had trouble converting defensive stops into points Tuesday night in a loss to GAC on the road. 

Kaylee Sticker led the Lady Tigers with 19 points, Marlie Townley and Sophia D'Oliveira with 6 each, Maddie Anglin and Moriah Benson both scored 4 and Anna Lowe had 2 points.

Dawson County (13-7, 5-3) will travel to Denmark Friday. Game time is 7 p.m. 


BUFORD 80
CLARKE CENTRAL  44

The Lady Wolves took sole possession of first place in Region 8-5A with the win over Clarke Central. 

Tate Walters led the way for the Lady Wolves with 18 points. Preston Reid had 14 and Casey Jones scored 11. 

The two teams were tied atop the region standings going into the game.

Buford (16-1, 5-0) will travel to Walnut Grove Friday. Game time is 6 p.m.

 

MARIST 61
WHITE COUNTY 48

Maddie Futch scored 11 points in the loss to Marist on Tuesday night. 

Marist outscored 33-22 in the first half and 28-26 in the second half.

Dasha Cannon had 9 points for the Lady Warriors.

White County (10-9, 4-4) will travel to West Hall Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.

 

LANIER CHRISTIAN 47
YOUNG AMERICANS 18

Madison Hughes scored 11 points and Loganne Wilson and Faith Wasden had 8 each in the win over Young Americans Christian Academy Tuesday night. 

LCA outscored YAC 29-12 in the first half and 18-6 in the second half. 

Ashley Avery and Lily Martin scored 4 each, Lexie Robertson had 3 and Hollie Buessee had 1.

Lanier Christian Academy (10-7) will host  Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy Thursday. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
